  I believe that avoiding prepared foods is a first step for you to lose weight. They could taste great, but packaged foods have very little nutritional value, making you try to eat more just to have enough electricity to get with the day. If you're constantly taking in these foods, changing to whole grains and other complex carbohydrates will help you have more electricity while feeding on less. Interesting blog post.
